Shortly after releasing Margot’s final album he lost over 40 pounds, was to forced to abandoned a near sold out tour, and spent the next couple years recovering and writing a new record about absence. In 2015, after the dissipation of a longtime partnership & marriage, he underwent surgery on his abdomen and re-wrote the record about absence. The result is Lemon Cotton Candy Sunset, Edwards’ first post-Margot solo album. Produced by Rob Schnapf (Elliott Smith, Cass McCombs, Beck) – the album is the culmination of a personal journey we wouldn't wish on anybody... but the resulting audio is a highly personal document, equal parts beautiful and tragic.
