Leisure Time Spa Minerals | Mineral Cartridge

Leisure Time Spa Minerals is an EPA-registered mineral purifier cartridge that delivers silver-ion sanitation to your spa water — and reduces your chlorine or bromine use by up to 50%. The cartridge releases a continuous, low-level stream of silver ions that destroy bacteria on contact, sharing the sanitation workload with your existing sanitizer program so you can dose dramatically less of it. One cartridge lasts up to 4 months in spas up to 600 gallons, fits inside or alongside your existing filter, and requires zero ongoing dosing or monitoring once installed. It's also a direct functional substitute for the FreshWater Silver Ion Cartridge — same chemistry, same fit, same purpose. Mineral sanitation is the answer for owners who find traditional chlorine or bromine programs harsh. The silver ions in Spa Minerals are continuously released at low levels into the water, where they actively kill bacteria the same way silver has been used to purify water for centuries — long before modern sanitizers existed. Because the silver does part of the bacterial-control work, your chlorine or bromine residual doesn't have to work alone, which means you can run your sanitizer at the low end of its target range instead of the high end. The result is softer-feeling water, less chemical smell, gentler conditions on skin and eyes, and noticeably reduced sanitizer demand week over week. This is a passive, set-and-forget product. Install the cartridge inside your filter (or in the filter well or skimmer tray depending on your spa model), and it works for up to 4 months without measuring, dosing, or testing. Replace at every drain-and-refill — typically the same cadence the rest of your spa maintenance follows. For owners chasing simpler water care and less chemical use, mineral cartridges are one of the highest-return upgrades available. Pro Tip: Spa Minerals reduces sanitizer demand — it doesn't eliminate it. You still need to maintain a chlorine residual of at least 1.0 ppm (or bromine residual of 1–2 ppm) at all times when using a mineral cartridge. Silver kills bacteria slower than free chlorine, so the small residual sanitizer serves as the immediate-response defense while the silver works in the background. Owners who try to run mineral systems with zero sanitizer end up with cloudy water and biofilm problems. Reduced sanitizer, yes; eliminated sanitizer, no. Brand Leisure Time®
