Leil® Celto S Outdoor Sauna

Leil Celto S - 1-2 Person Outdoor Prefab Sauna Kit The Leil Celto S is a 1-2 person outdoor prefab sauna kit, exclusively imported to North America by Midwest Nordic and shipped flat-packed for on-site modular assembly. Base MAP $4,990. Configure your heater package, exterior finish, and optional integrated LED lighting to complete your build. Leil Celto - Modern Estonian Outdoor Sauna Line The Leil Celto is the newest series in the Leil Saunas family - a modern, architecturally-refined outdoor prefab sauna manufactured in Estonia and available exclusively through Midwest Nordic in North America. Designed for homeowners who want the authentic Nordic sauna ritual without compromising on modern design, the Celto series delivers the Leil (steam) experience Finnish and Estonian sauna culture is built around - enveloped in a clean-lined, flat-roofed cabin that reads as contemporary garden architecture rather than a shed. Every Celto is delivered as a modular flat-pack DIY kit with pre-fabricated, pre-insulated panels, complete Nordic spruce interior cladding, tempered smoked-glass door and side panels, EPDM weather-sealed roof, and integrated ventilation - everything you need for year-round outdoor sauna use in every US climate zone, from Florida humidity to Minnesota winters. Built by Leil Saunas' Estonian manufacturing operation (Saunasell OÜ, a subsidiary of Leil Saunas OÜ), the Celto series brings the same manufacturing pedigree that has made Leil a Nordic-market leader in prefab saunas - precision-milled thermal-shield timber, refined glass integration, and hardware engineered for a 15+ year service life. Where Leil's Patio, Dice, and Round Cube lines target the premium architectural end of prefab sauna design, the Leil Celto series is engineered as the accessible entry point into the Leil family: two compact footprints (S and M), sensible MAP pricing, and a curated configuration matrix that keeps the buying decision simple without sacrificing meaningful choice. Design Philosophy - Nordic Minimalism, Architectural Presence The Celto is engineered around three design principles: architectural silhouette, authentic Leil, and installation simplicity. The flat-roofed cube form pairs with generous smoked-glass panels to give the Celto a distinctly contemporary presence in a garden, on a patio, or against a modern home façade - where a traditional barrel or A-frame sauna would read as rustic, the Celto reads as considered outdoor architecture. The interior geometry is optimized for the traditional Leil steam ritual: bench heights placed to catch the rising humid heat, back-rest lighting that puts warmth exactly where the eye lingers, and a heater bay sized for high-mass electric heaters that hold heat and produce the deep, wet steam Estonian sauna culture is built around. Make It Yours - Stain to Match Your Home Every Celto ships in its natural, unstained Nordic spruce - a beautiful, honest starting point that reflects the raw material tradition of Finnish and Estonian sauna craft. As you'll see in our sample photos, the lumber takes stain exceptionally well: a soft coastal whitewash, a warm modern beige, a bold anthracite charcoal - whatever finish best complements your landscape, deck, or home exterior. Because everyone's taste and setting is different, we ship the sauna ready for you to personalize with any exterior wood stain from your local hardware store (Behr, Cabot, Sherwin-Williams, Sikkens, Olympic - all readily available). Two coats with a foam roller and brush cut-in on a warm afternoon and your Celto reads as bespoke, one-of-a-kind outdoor architecture that looks like it was designed for your specific home. Sample photos throughout this listing show what the Celto looks like once stained. Every Celto ships in its natural spruce state and is finished on-site by the customer to their preferred color. Materials & Construction Wall Panels: Pre-fabricated modular Nordic spruce panels, factory-insulated, ~60 mm (2.4 in) thick with integrated vapor barrier. Panels arrive numbered and pre-drilled - assembly is a follow-the-numbers process, not a carpentry project. Interior Cladding: Solid Nordic spruce tongue-and-groove profile boards on all walls and ceiling. Spruce is chosen over cedar for a lighter tone, cleaner grain, and lower resin release - the signature "Nordic look" of a proper Estonian sauna. Benches & Backrests: Cool-to-touch European Aspen or Alder (both species have very low thermal conductivity - comfortable to sit on even when the sauna is at 200°F). Two-tier bench configuration on the Celto M with backrest lighting; single-tier plus removable bench box on the Celto S. Door: Full-height tempered smoked/bronze-tinted glass hinged door with matte black hardware. 8 mm safety glass. Side glass panels flank the door on both models. Roof: Pre-cut EPDM rubber membrane sealed over the panel roof deck - the same waterproofing used on commercial flat roofs. Rated for freeze-thaw cycling and UV exposure. Ventilation: Two positive-pressure vent ports (intake near the heater base, exhaust high on the opposite wall) sized for the room volume - this is what creates the correct airflow for authentic sauna operation and heater lifespan. Hardware: Marine-grade stainless steel fasteners throughout; matte black powder-coated door hardware. Foundation: Kit ships with adjustable base runners. Requires a level pad - concrete, paver, or reinforced deck. Lighting Choose "No Lighting" for a fully unlit kit, or add Backrest and Under Bench Lighting - LED-strip lighting for under the bench and behind the backrest, controlled by a dimmer switch. Kit includes LED strip, cable, transformer, dimmer switch, and installation box. Sized specifically for each Celto model. Want a custom stained look? Every Celto ships in natural unstained spruce so you can finish it on-site with any exterior wood stain from your local hardware store - see the "Make It Yours" section above for details. Foundation & Electrical Requirements Foundation Requirements The Celto requires a level, non-shifting foundation. Any of the following work: Poured concrete pad, 4 in. minimum thickness, sized ~4 in. larger than the sauna footprint on all sides Compacted gravel pad topped with concrete pavers Existing reinforced deck rated for the sauna's weight (approximately 700 lbs for the Celto S / 1,000 lbs for the Celto M, plus 2-4 users) Level, undisturbed soil is not sufficient - the sauna needs a rigid, drainage-friendly surface underneath Assembly Overview The Celto is designed for follow-the-numbers modular assembly. The kit ships flat-packed with every panel, board, and fastener pre-cut and numbered to match the illustrated 20-step manual. Two adults can complete the Celto S in one long day, or the Celto M in one to two days with three people for the glass panel installation. Assembly Sequence (Overview) Site prep - level the foundation, position the base runners Frame the floor panel (F1 + F2 base with structural brackets) Erect wall panels (W60 side wall + W80 back walls with W290 rear support) Install ventilation ports (intake V200 at 200 mm from panel edge, exhaust V400 at 400 mm) Set ceiling panels and interior cladding Install door frame with S80 screws + door with matte black hardware Set tempered glass side panels with aluminum retaining slats Install benches, backrests, and (if included) LED strip channel Lay EPDM roof membrane Mount and wire heater; install thermostat sensor per heater manual All required nails and screws are counted and included. Only recommended tools: a cordless drill/driver with Ø 3 mm and Ø 4 mm pilot bits, a level, and rubber-soled work gloves. Warranty & Care Structural Warranty: 24 months on the Celto cabin structure, hardware, and factory workmanship, honored by the Estonian manufacturer through Midwest Nordic. Damage from improper assembly (contrary to the printed manual) or unauthorized modifications voids the warranty. Heater Warranty: Each heater in the Heater Package options carries its own manufacturer warranty - Harvia (2 years), Homecraft (2 years), HUUM (5 years on the Drop and Hive Mini heaters, 2 years on UKU controllers). Exterior Wood Care: Every Celto ships in natural unstained spruce. Left untreated, the exterior will silver over time from UV exposure - a signature "Nordic weathered" look many customers love. To preserve the fresh tone or achieve a specific color, apply an exterior wood stain (Behr, Cabot, Sherwin-Williams, Sikkens, Olympic - any quality hardware-store brand) within the first few weeks of assembly. Reapply per the stain manufacturer's recommended interval (typically every 2-4 years). Clean with a soft brush and mild soap; avoid close-range pressure washing. Interior Wood Care: The interior spruce, aspen benches, and backrests do not need any coating (coatings would crack under sauna heat). Sweep out ash / stone dust after each use; wipe down benches with a damp cloth. Every 6-12 months, treat the benches with sauna-safe paraffin oil to preserve grain and moisture resistance.
