Legos

This is a meticulously structured pastel and watercolor work titled "Legos" that creates a vibrant optical experience through systematic repetition and color variation. The piece is organized as a grid of rectangular sections, each filled with short, vertical mark-making that resembles brushstrokes or hash marks. What makes this piece particularly engaging is how the Rich has varied the color relationships within each "block." Some sections feature monochromatic approaches with subtle tonal variations, while others present bold color contrasts. The repetitive mark-making within each rectangle creates texture and visual rhythm, while the overall grid structure provides order and unity. Medium: Oil, watercolor and ink on paper. Dimensions: 20" X 27". A contemporary wooden 1" frame paired with non-reflective, shatterproof acrylic lends the piece a refined, museum-quality presentation. Made in USA.
