JAE LEATHER COVERED SEGUNDA FULL CHEEK

The Leather Covered Segunda Full Cheek Bit has a stainless steel core wrapped in leather, offering strength while providing a gentler surface than bare metal. The central port concentrates pressure on the palate, encouraging head elevation, while the mouthpiece maintains tongue contact to reduce leaning or bracing. Flat, non-abrasive stitching keeps the mouthpiece smooth. Full cheek pieces provide lateral guidance, helping the horse maintain straightness and supporting consistent rein contact. Ideal for horses that need lateral support, maintain head carriage, or respond better to a leather-covered bit than to a standard metal bit. Features of the Segunda Mouthpiece : Curved Central Mouthpiece : The distinctive port concentrates pressure on the bars and the palate when the reins are engaged, encouraging proper head carriage. Lifting Action : Focused pressure encourages the horse to lift its head, improving posture and responsiveness. Discourages Leaning : The design prevents the horse from leaning on the bit or placing its tongue over the mouthpiece, supporting correct mouth positioning. Full Cheek Design Features : Enhanced Stability : The full cheek design prevents the bit from sliding through the horse’s mouth, providing more stable lateral guidance. Direct Contact : The extended cheekpieces offer more direct cues, helping horses maintain better balance and stay on track. Encourages Responsiveness : The full cheek bit design promotes consistent, gentle guidance, making it easier for the horse to stay engaged and responsive during rides.
