Leah Cot Aprium Tree

Leah Cot Aprium offers a rich, polished expression of apricot-plum flavor in attractive deep-orange fruit. Its firm, smooth flesh is sweet and aromatic, with a gentle tang that keeps the flavor lively rather than one-dimensional. That balance makes Leah Cot especially enjoyable fresh, when its fragrance and nuanced character are easiest to appreciate, while also giving it enough personality for baking, preserves, and other orchard-to-kitchen projects. Delicate white spring blossoms add beauty before the hybrid fruit begins to develop, and its mid- to late-season timing helps extend the aprium harvest beyond earlier selections. The tree is a compelling choice for gardeners who enjoy unusual stone fruit but still want the sunny color and familiar perfume of an apricot. Leah Cot brings novelty without sacrificing versatility, offering a distinctive harvest that can become a favorite for both fresh eating and preserving. Plant in full sun and well-drained soil with good airflow. Citation rootstock produces a manageable semi-dwarf tree. Prune for an open canopy, maintain even moisture through fruit development, and thin crowded clusters if the tree sets more fruit than its branches can comfortably carry. Leah Cot is self-fruitful and can produce as a single tree. Another compatible aprium or apricot blooming nearby can encourage more pollinator activity, may support a fuller crop, and creates a broader sequence of hybrid fruit.
