These door locks prevent harmful radiation from X-ray machines and other equipment from escaping through the door mechanism. As such, lead-lined locks are suitable for a number of environments such as general X-ray radiology rooms, CT and PET scan rooms, dental X-ray rooms, and more. Lead-lined cylindrical door locks offer advanced protection to staff and patients as the lead within blocks any radiation from passing through to external areas of your facility. Lead is an excellent shielding material and incredibly enduring thanks to its resistance to corrosion, heat, and radiation damage.
