La Compagnie Du Kraft Refillable Leather Journal

The gold standard in high-quality, refillable notebooks, the Leather Journal by La Compagnie du Kraft (also known as Le Kraft) is an investment piece that is built to last and provide years of use.  In the 1930s, La Compagnie du Kraft started making notebooks in France for forest rangers and lumberjacks. Crafted from leather and undyed kraft paper, they were built to be rugged and repairable.  Today, Le Kraft journals are still just as durable, and the thoughtful craftsmanship and fine materials that go into hand-making each of them have earned them a place in the hearts of fine stationery enthusiasts everywhere. Because they are made responsibly and can be refilled, they are also searched out by those looking to make eco-conscious choices for their personal, work, or school writing needs.   The “Cuba Libre” leather used for these journals is vegetable-tanned (chrome-free) and comes in a selection of colors inspired by the deep, rich tones of cigar wrappers. The unbleached kraft pages are perforated for a satisfyingly clean tear should you want to remove them.  This A5 journal has been stocked at BGS since the beginning and continues to be popular with our customers. We also offer a smaller A6 sized journal. You can shop for that, and for other Le Kraft accessories here. Materials: leather, undyed paper, brass bindings Our Le Kraft notebooks are sold with brass bindings and elastic closure bands that are dyed to match the color of the leather. Photos are for leather color reference only and may show nickel bindings or white elastic. Please note that as a naturally-tanned leather product, some variation in color and texture may occur.  Made by: La Compagnie du Kraft (Le Kraft) Made in: France Specifications: 5.8" wide x 8.3" tall (A5 paper size); 120 pages (60 sheets) Refills available here.
