Le Creuset Stoneware Pie Bird

For Uniform Pies Also known as a pie funnel, the Le Creuset pie bird is a bakers best friend as it aids in releasing steam while the pie bakes. It also sits in the middle of the pan and creates an arch to prevent the pie from becoming soggy, and producing a perfectly crisp crust. The pie bird features Le Creuset's signature enamel coating for durability while your pies bake in the oven. Available in 6 beautiful colors, the pie bird is a wonderful addition to the Le Creuset 9" pie dish. Your dessert's best-kept secret to the perfect pie comes from the help of a Le Creuset. Le Creuset Stoneware Protected by a hard-wearing glaze that resists damage from heat and utensils, Le Creuset stoneware is perfectly suited to baking pies, quiches, casseroles and more. The secret to its performance is the even-heating properties, which prevent hot-spots and cook foods in a uniform fashion. The result is a golden brown crust with fully cooked ingredients throughout. The enamel finish is smooth and easily releases food, making cleanup a breeze. Le Creuset Stoneware is safe for the oven, broiler, and microwave. Because it is impermeable to stains and odors, it is also perfect for storing foods in the refrigerator or the freezer.
