General guidelines below: Key Information for Accurate Quoting: Foam Type: Preferred material (e.g., polyethylene, polyurethane). Insert Size: Overall length, width, and thickness. (Usually this is based on the interior dimensions of the case or box the foam will be placed in.) Cutouts: Number of cavities/cutouts per layer, including the size of each, if possible. Quantity Needed: Total number of inserts or complete units you would like quoted. Additional Considerations: Any special material properties (e.g., anti-static, custom tolerances), and photos of items or containers (if available). You’re also welcome to send or drop off sample items and containers for more accurate hands-on assistance. We accept layouts in PDF, DXF, or DWG formats with dimensions in inches. If CAD files aren’t available, a traced layout on paper or cardboard is acceptable, just be sure to indicate the depth of each cutout. Additional customization options such as finger pulls, rounded corners, or logos are also available upon request. Keep in mind that our waterjet machine cuts in 2D only, straight through the foam. For inserts requiring varying depths, we can layer or skive the foam as needed.
