Large Marble & Gemstone Inlay Botanical Panel

Discover the exquisite beauty of Pietra Dura, an Italian-style Indian craftsmanship that showcases the meticulous art of inlay work on Marble. This inlay technique originated in Florence, Italy during the Renaissance period and it was later introduced to India by Mughal artisans. Over time, Indian craftsmen mastered this intricate art form, infusing it with their own cultural influences and creating a unique style. This Indian marble wall panel is finely inlay with semi-precious stones, skillfully arranged to create stunning botanical designs. Each panel is meticulously crafted by skilled artisans who carefully select and cut semi-precious stones such as lapis lazuli, malachite, agate, and coral. These stones are then intricately inlaid into the marble, forming breathtaking patterns of flowers, leaves, and other botanical motifs. The vibrant colors and delicate details of the inlay work evoke a sense of timeless elegance and beauty. These marble Inlay panels were historically used to decorate palaces and temples in India. Today they add a touch of timeless beauty and elegance to contemporary spaces as wall art, table top or precious tray. *Era: Contemporary *Material: Marble/ Gemstone *Size: 36"(L) x 1.25“(D) x 48.25"(H) *Color: White/Orange/Green *Condition: Very good; this piece may show minor imperfections as part of using reclaimed materials & its artisanal handmade character.
