Large Copper Port Full Cheek

The Large Copper Port Full Cheek Bit features a copper mouthpiece with a port that sits above the tongue and engages the palate when rein pressure is applied. This encourages proper head elevation and discourages leaning or heavy contact. Full cheekpieces provide lateral guidance and prevent the bit from sliding through the mouth, supporting consistent rein contact and straighter movement. Ideal for experienced riders working with well-trained horses that respond to palate engagement and benefit from the natural salivation promoted by copper. Key Features of the Large Copper Port Mouthpiece : Palate Engagement : The large port sits above the tongue and makes contact with the palate when reins are engaged, encouraging the horse to elevate its head. Suitable only for well-trained horses and experienced riders. Tongue clearance : The port provides space for the tongue, helping prevent the horse from getting its tongue over the bit and allowing a more natural mouth position. Copper Material : The copper encourages salivation, keeping the mouth moister and more responsive, which supports softer, attentive contact. Full Cheek Design Features : Enhanced Stability : The full cheek design prevents the bit from sliding through the horse’s mouth, providing more stable lateral guidance. Direct Contact : The extended cheekpieces offer more direct cues, helping horses maintain better balance and stay on track. Encourages Responsiveness : The full cheek bit design promotes consistent, gentle guidance, making it easier for the horse to stay engaged and responsive during rides.
