Large Copper Port Eggbutt

The Large Copper Port Eggbutt Bit features a copper mouthpiece with a port that sits above the tongue and engages the palate when rein pressure is applied. This encourages proper head elevation and discourages leaning or heavy contact. Eggbutt cheekpieces prevent the bit from pinching at the corners of the mouth and provide a consistent feel. Ideal for experienced riders working with well-trained horses that respond to palate engagement and benefit from the natural salivation promoted by copper. Key Features of the Large Copper Port Mouthpiece : Palate Engagement : The large port sits above the tongue and makes contact with the palate when reins are engaged, encouraging the horse to elevate its head. Suitable only for well-trained horses and experienced riders. Tongue clearance : The port provides space for the tongue, helping prevent the horse from getting its tongue over the bit and allowing a more natural mouth position. Copper Material : The copper encourages salivation, keeping the mouth moister and more responsive, which supports softer, attentive contact. Eggbutt Design Features: Prevents Pinching : The fixed cheekpieces reduce the risk of pinching at the corners of the mouth, making it ideal for sensitive horses. Stable Connection : The eggbutt shape minimizes movement in the mouth, providing a consistent feel and reducing excessive bit movement. Encourages Steady Contact : The fixed rings promote a stable and even connection, making it a great option for horses that need confidence in the contact.
