L'archet Brasil Silver Plus Ipe Viola Bow

These Ipe wood bows are handcrafted with the same skill and attention to detail that one might expect from a fine pernambuco bow. The performance is nearly identical - it is very hard to tell the difference! L’archet Brasil’s bows are created by some of the most prominent bow makers in Brazil using only the highest quality wood. These bows are elegant, beautiful, and have superb playability. The supply of pernambuco wood from Brazil has become scarce in recent years, and the future is uncertain for this coveted material. Bow makers and musicians have been exploring alternatives that can offer similar performance. Ipe, also called Brazilian Walnut, has proven to be a great substitute for pernambuco.
