Laphroaig Lore Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky 750ml

Laphroaig Lore is the richest expression in the Laphroaig core range, created by former Distillery Manager John Campbell and named for the knowledge handed down through eight generations of Islay craft. Lore is a marriage of single malts aged 7 to 21 years, drawn from first fill bourbon barrels, refill bourbon, European oak, Oloroso sherry butts, and the distillery's signature quarter casks. Some component whiskies reach back to 1993 vintage stock from Laphroaig's Atlantic storehouse. Bottled at 48% ABV without chill filtration, Lore layers maritime peat smoke with dark chocolate, sherry richness, and spice for one of the most complete Islay drams available. Laphroaig blends component whiskies up to 21 years old and finishes them across five cask types, producing more sherry depth and oak complexity than the standard 10 Year. How does Lore compare to Laphroaig 10 and Quarter Cask? Lore is heavier on sherry and dark fruit than the medicinal Laphroaig 10, and more layered than the bourbon led Quarter Cask, while keeping the unmistakable Islay peat signature. Is Laphroaig Lore chill filtered? No. Lore is bottled at 48% ABV without chill filtration, preserving texture and the natural oils that carry the peat character.
