The Lance Leaf Sundew (Drosera Adelae) is a tropical rainforest plant that grows in a rosette of long, slender leaves covered with sticky tentacles. These tentacles produce a sweet-smelling nectar that attracts unsuspecting bugs, which get trapped and digested by the plant. The Lance Leaf Sundew can grow up to 10 inches in diameter and produces small, white or pink flowers in summer. Caring for Drosera Adelae The Lance Leaf Sundew is easy to care for indoors, as long as you follow some simple guidelines. Here are some tips to help you grow a healthy and happy sundew: Use a pot that is at least 4 inches tall and fill it with 50/50 Sphagnum moss/perlite. Keep the soil moist but not soggy by using the tray method. Water only with rainwater, purified water, or distilled water to water your sundew. Tap water may contain minerals or chemicals that can harm the plant. Place your sundew in a bright spot that receives indirect sunlight or artificial light. Avoid direct sunlight as it may burn the leaves. You can use a grow light to provide enough light for your sundew, especially during winter. Feed your sundew small bugs or freeze-dried mealworms once in a while to boost its growth and health. (IF ITS NOT CATCHING BUGS) The Lance Leaf Sundew is a great choice for beginners and experts alike, as it is one of the most diverse and beautiful carnivorous plants in the world.
