Lambkin

Lambkin is a fluffy wool and alpaca bouclé yarn resulting in a fabric that resembles a lamb's sheepy fleece. Little loops of wool gallop along the yarn creating a bouncy fabric that is fun (and warm) to knit and wear. This is a thick yarn. Knit it on a size US 9 needle for a denser fabric, or a size 11 for a looser fabric. Both ways, this yarn works up quickly and within just a few days your accessory or garment will be ready to wear. Add a strand of silk mohair Frond for that special silky shine. Or stripe it with our other favorite bulky yarn: Bun. ~~~ PATTERN IDEAS Check out Lambkin knit into the Cocoknits Juniper vest (pictured). Bundles are available now.  For a zip-up version with pockets, knit a Flynn! Double Scoop Scarf is easy as pie to knit. It requires 2 skeins to knit one scarf. (Kristine used one skein of Apricot and one skein of Tortilla.) And calls for a size US 11 needles. Plus, 100% of sales  of this pattern will be donated to Community Kitchens here in Oakland, a non-profit dedicated to feeding all Oaklanders.
