Lakeside

Super soft t-shirt inspired by Lakeside Park amusement park in Salem, VA. Also available in 100% cotton faded yellow. Lakeside opened in Salem, Virginia in 1920 off of East Main Street. The park was named after its large 300-foot long and 125-foot wide swimming pool that was surrounded by a beach. Lakeside quickly gained popularity in the area, and amusement park rides were added within the first few years of its opening. The pool was eventually filled in to make room for more rides, including the wooden rollercoaster Shooting Star. Besides the summer activities the park was known for, Lakeside also hosted many concerts in its pavilion. For multiple reasons, Lakeside was forced to close in 1986. 50/50 cotton-poly blend.
