Lake Lace II

Often mistaken for oils, Cheryl Mocadlo's acrylic paintings are known for their visual aesthetic - life-like imagery and rich color palette. She enjoys celebrating nature’s beauty, hence her partiality to landscapes and organics. By layering pigments with varying degrees of opacity and a range of application techniques, Mocadlo achieves a depth of color that creates interest and movement. For her, the most exciting part of painting is the moment when the canvas comes to life - no longer a two-dimensional image, but a destination to walk into or an object to reach out and hold her hand. Mocadlo believes that the sand and waves at Whitefish Dunes State Park can be as beautiful as any oceanfront. Framed: 22" x 22"
