Lafayette Fire Department Leather Patch Hat

When a fire department has been around for nearly two centuries, its gear should carry the same weight as its history. The Lafayette Fire Department Leather Patch Hat honors the tradition of Lafayette FD, founded in 1825 and still serving with grit, heart, and brotherhood. This is not just another lid — it’s a nod to almost 200 years of firehouse pride translated into everyday gear you can wear on shift, in town, or off duty with the crew. A Patch That Holds History Front and center is a full grain leather patch featuring the Lafayette Fire Department design. Each patch is laser engraved with crisp detail and hand finished so the edges stay clean and the artwork reads strong even from across the room. Unlike cheap imitations, this patch is built to last. Over time the leather takes on a natural patina, deepening in character much like the department itself. No two patches age the same, making each hat unique to the firefighter who wears it. Firefighter Tough Build Underneath the patch is a proven Richardson base that firefighters trust. The structured crown holds its profile without feeling stiff, while the curved bill keeps glare down when the bay doors are open. A mesh back allows airflow on long summer calls or training nights, and the sweatband keeps comfort locked in through extended wear. The adjustable closure ensures a dependable fit, whether it’s on a firefighter, a supporter, or a family member representing Lafayette FD. More Than Apparel This hat is not a souvenir — it’s firehouse apparel designed for real use and real pride.
