Lady Octopus

12X16 Mixed Media - colored pencil and gold pen on Arches Paper $75 I read somewhere that the female octopus throws junk at males who bother her and honestly, I relate. Being a single mom can be pretty great at times, and once I settled into the idea that what’s meant for me will never truly miss me - i.e. that dating would come at the right time - life got a lot easier. And while I don’t throw things at men who enter my sphere without provocation, these lovely things called boundaries help keep the peace.  For now though, I quite like the idea of throwing clam shells at the occasional passer-by…except in our case it’s probably more like confetti and glitter and stray legos. I wonder if the female octopus would throw legos if offered?  UV sprayed for ultimate protection…don’t cross her path, otherwise you may face the wrath of the angry spray of legos and other stray bits.
