Lab-Aids: Magnetic Fields and Forces Expand-A-Kit

Lab-Aids: Scientific Method Problem Solving Kit Instead of learning how to solve problems, students are all too often expected to simply do activities. In this creative problem-solving kit, students are presented with a situation that requires them to:‚  Analyze the situation‚  Identify the problem‚  Formulate a hypothesis‚  Conduct experiments to test their hypothesis‚  The result? Students learn how to inquire, not just do. Lab activities, suitable for all science curriculum, can be completed in approximately sixty minutes. Scientific Concepts: Develop a basic understanding of experimental design Develop strategies and define problem definition and data collection Form and test hypothesis Develop use of controls Content List: 1 Teacher's Guide with MSDS 30 Student Worksheets and Guides 15 LAB-AIDS‚® Chemplates‚® w/spatula 1 Drop control bottle of Unknown I 1 Drop control bottle of Unknown II 4 Drop control bottles of Bromthymol blue indicator 2 Drop control bottles of Solution No. 1, 0.1M HCl 2 Drop control bottles of Solution No. 2, 0.1M, H2SO4 2 Drop control bottles of Solution No. 3, 0.1M, NaOH 2 Drop control bottles of Solution No. 4, 0.1M, KOH 2 Drop control bottles of Solution No. 5, 0.1M HNO3 2 Drop control bottles of Solution No. 6, 0.1M Ca(OH)2 2 Drop control bottles of Solution No. 7, 0.1M Zn(NO3)2 Classroom Planning: To complete this kit requires one ~50-minute class period.
