Process & Profile La Poderina Brunello di Montalcino comes from Castelnuovo dell'Abate, a sub-region of Montalcino known for producing wines with remarkable finesse and harmony. The vineyards benefit from the region's clay-marl soils and unique diurnal temperature shifts, which encourage slow ripening and optimal development of the Sangiovese grapes. The production process involves meticulous hand-harvesting of Sangiovese Grosso grapes, followed by a double fermentation: cryomaceration for enhanced aromatic extraction and malolactic fermentation for silky textures. After fermentation, the wine undergoes at least two years of aging in oak barrels and a further four months of refinement in the bottle. This aging process ensures its characteristic depth, complexity, and longevity. Tasting Notes La Poderina Brunello di Montalcino dazzles with a ruby-red hue tinged with garnet reflections, a testament to its maturity. On the nose, it delivers an intense bouquet of black cherries, wild berries, and vanilla, layered with subtle earthy notes like bark and dried mushrooms.
