La Mamounia Marrakech

Inaugurated in 1923, La Mamounia reigns over the Hivernage district. Winston Churchill called the hotel one of the most beautiful places in the world. It is one of those rare places whose names alone evoke an entire city, its history, its soul, that of Marrakech. La Mamounia is a mosaic of splendors, echoing with Moroccan craftsmanship in a profusion of arches, capitals, and basins. The hotel received multiple honors—best hotel in the world by the World Travel Awards in 2015 and Condé Nast Traveler in 2018 and 2021. This book honors this unique place, its relationship to artisans and artists, steeped in hospitality, tradition, and a timeless sense of beauty. Jacques Brel, Joan Collins, Mika, Juliette Binoche, Miranda Kerr, Adrien Brody, Salma Hayek, and Jennifer Aniston are just a few of the many who have enjoyed unforgettable moments within the hotel’s walls and gardens. With elegance, author Laurence Benaïm invites us to (re)discover the sophistication and refinement of the most wonderful hotel in Morocco.
