KWI QRS Float Mod for Can-Am X3 CVT System

KWI QRS Float Mod for Can-Am X3 CVT System The KWI QRS Float Mod for Can-Am Maverick X3 is a precision drivetrain upgrade designed to correct the factory alignment issues commonly found in the X3 CVT system. If your machine experiences hard shifting, secondary clutch spin at idle, or frequent belt failures, the root cause is often clutch misalignment. The QRS Float Mod solves this problem by machining the secondary clutch to allow it to float on the shaft, enabling it to self-align with the primary clutch during operation. This self-alignment corrects belt tracking across the sheaves under all load conditions, resulting in smoother shifting, better power transfer, lower belt temperatures, and dramatically improved belt life. Every QRS Float service begins with a complete inspection of your clutches, ensuring all components are in proper condition before the modification is performed. During the process, KWI also performs precision sheave resurfacing to eliminate imperfections caused by wear or factory casting defects. When paired with KWI secondary rollers, the QRS Float becomes one of the most effective ways to restore consistency and performance in your Can-Am X3 CVT system. ⚠️ Important: This product requires you to send your primary and secondary clutches to KWI for installation, as the modification must be performed in their shop. Key Features Corrects factory clutch alignment issues Allows the secondary clutch to float and self-align Improves belt tracking and clutch efficiency Reduces belt heat and premature wear Provides smoother shifting and improved throttle response Includes precision sheave resurfacing Full clutch inspection before modification Compatible with KWI performance rollers Available in multiple performance packages Performance Benefits Fixes CVT Alignment Problems Many Can-Am X3 models suffer from slight factory misalignment between the primary and secondary clutches. This causes: Uneven belt wear Hard shifting Secondary clutch spin at idle Increased belt temperatures Premature belt failures The QRS Float Mod corrects these alignment issues by allowing the secondary clutch to dynamically align with the primary during operation. Improved Power Transfer Proper clutch alignment ensures the belt rides evenly across the sheaves, which helps deliver: More efficient power transfer Stronger acceleration Smoother clutch engagement Increased Belt Life By reducing heat and uneven belt wear, the QRS Float significantly improves: Belt longevity Clutch consistency Overall drivetrain reliability Available Packages The QRS Float Mod is available in four performance levels: Base Package – Essential float modification and clutch inspection Plus Package – Additional performance refinements Pro Package – Enhanced performance upgrades Pro Aggressive Package – Maximum performance setup for aggressive riding Each package is designed to match different riding styles and performance goals. Fitment Compatible with: Can-Am Maverick X3 models with QRS clutch systems Installation Requirement ⚠️ Important Installation Note This modification must be performed by KWI. Customers are required to send their primary and secondary clutches to KWI for machining and installation of the Float Mod. FAQ What problem does the QRS Float Mod fix? It corrects factory clutch misalignment, which can cause belt wear, shifting issues, and reduced drivetrain efficiency. Why do belts fail frequently on some X3s? Clutch misalignment causes the belt to ride unevenly across the sheaves, generating excess heat and premature wear. Does this require sending in my clutches? Yes. The Float Mod requires precision machining and must be performed by KWI in their shop. Will this improve belt life? Yes. Correcting clutch alignment helps reduce belt heat and significantly extend belt life. Upgrade your drivetrain with the KWI QRS Float Mod for Can-Am X3.
