KWI PDrive Float Mod for Can-Am CVT Systems

KWI PDrive Float Mod for Can-Am CVT Systems The KWI PDrive Float Mod is a precision drivetrain upgrade designed to correct clutch alignment issues and improve the overall performance of PDrive-equipped Can-Am machines. If your machine experiences hard shifting, secondary clutch spin in park, belt drag at idle, or frequent belt failures, these symptoms are often caused by clutch misalignment or internal clutch component wear. The PDrive Float system allows the secondary clutch to float and self-align with the primary clutch during operation, ensuring the belt rides evenly across all sheaves. This significantly improves belt life, clutch efficiency, and power transfer while reducing heat and wear in the CVT system. Whether you're racing dunes, crawling rocks, running mud, or trail riding, the KWI PDrive Float Mod restores consistent clutch performance and reliability, making it one of the most effective upgrades for long-term CVT durability. ⚠️ Important Installation Note This product requires you to send your primary and secondary clutches to KWI for installation, as the machining and modification must be performed in their shop. Key Features Corrects clutch alignment issues in PDrive systems Allows the secondary clutch to float and self-align Includes complete clutch inspection and diagnostics Precision-machined and resurfaced sheaves Includes new BRP OEM primary rollers Reduces belt heat and premature wear Improves throttle response and power transfer Restores smooth shifting and backshifting performance Performance Benefits Self-Aligning Clutch System The floated secondary clutch allows the system to dynamically align during operation, helping the belt stay centered across all sheaves. Benefits include: Smoother clutch engagement Reduced belt wear Improved drivetrain efficiency Consistent clutch performance Precision Sheave Resurfacing Both the primary and secondary sheaves are trued and refinished, restoring flatness and ensuring optimal belt contact. This improves: Belt grip Engagement consistency Overall CVT efficiency Improved Belt Life & Reliability Misalignment and worn components often cause excessive belt heat and failure. The PDrive Float system helps: Lower belt temperatures Reduce belt stress Prevent premature clutch wear Improve drivetrain reliability New OEM Primary Rollers Included All PDrive Float packages now include fresh BRP OEM primary rollers, which are a wearable maintenance component. ⚠️ Maintenance Note: PDrive rollers should be inspected after every ride and replaced as soon as any side-to-side play or visible wear is detected to maintain proper clutch performance. Full Clutch Inspection Every PDrive Float Mod begins with a complete inspection of both primary and secondary clutches. If any worn or damaged components are found, KWI will provide a cost estimate for approval before proceeding with repairs or modifications. This ensures your clutch system is in proper condition before the Float Mod is installed. Fitment Compatible with Can-Am machines equipped with PDrive clutch systems, including: Can-Am Maverick X3 Can-Am Defender Can-Am Commander Can-Am Maverick Sport / Trail FAQ What problems does the PDrive Float Mod fix? It corrects clutch alignment issues that cause belt wear, hard shifting, and clutch engagement problems at idle. Why do some PDrive clutches stay engaged at idle? Internal clutch components can swell under heat or wear over time, preventing the clutch from fully opening and causing belt drag. Does this mod improve belt life? Yes. By correcting clutch alignment and restoring proper sheave contact, the system reduces heat and improves belt longevity. Do I need to send in my clutches? Yes. The PDrive Float Mod requires precision machining and must be performed by KWI, so both clutches must be shipped to their facility. Restore smooth shifting and maximize belt life with the KWI PDrive Float Mod. Contact Dunes 2 Dezert SXS today to schedule your clutch service and experience reliable CVT performance on every ride. 🚀
