Kunming Aged Raw Pu-erh Tea Sampler

Taste a curated selection of samples from Kunming Aged Raw Pu'erh Tea Cakes and develop an appreciation for how different storage conditions affect the distinct aroma, flavor and mouthfeel of these amazing teas. Kunming storage refers to Pu-erh teas that were stored in Kunming, Yunnan.  Kunming storage would be considered dry storage especially compared to Guangdong or Banna wet storage (also called traditional storage).  Kunming stored Pu-erh teas are typically strong in taste and are closer to their origins having retained much of their original character compared to their wetter-stored counterparts. Pu-erh tea is made from Yunnan large-leaf varietal of Camellia Sinensis. It is typically processed into compressed cakes, bricks and tuos. Pu-erh is particularly special because it can be aged for decades or longer, always changing and (in most cases) developing more depth and texture. Raw Pu-erh (生茶) is the traditional form of Pu-erh, and is sun-dried and compressed.  Here's the 5 teas that you'll get in this sampler!  10 grams - 2000 Bu Lang Mountain "Mushroom Tuo" Raw Pu-erh Tea 25 grams - 2006 Hong Xuan "Yi Wu Zheng Shan" Raw Pu-erh Tea Cake 25 grams - 2003 Hai Lang Hao "Xi Bang" Raw Pu-erh Tea Cake 25 grams - 2002 Tai Lian "Kunming Tea Market Opening" Anniversary Raw Tea Cake 25 grams - 2011 Yunnan Sourcing "Chen Yun Yuan Cha" Raw Pu-erh Tea Cake Updated sampler as of October 2nd, 2022
