Kung Fu – Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) Step into the world of martial arts with Kung Fu for the Nintendo Entertainment System, a thrilling beat-em-up action game developed by Nintendo and released in 1985. This NES classic is a faithful remake of Irem’s arcade hit Kung-Fu Master and is recognized as one of the pioneering titles that defined the beat-em-up genre, inspiring legendary games like Double Dragon, Final Fight, and Bad Dudes. Notably, it was created by the same team behind Super Mario Bros., bringing polished gameplay and responsive controls to home consoles. In Kung Fu, players control Thomas, a martial arts master on a mission to defeat a series of powerful enemies. The game features sidescrolling action with multi-level movement, allowing Thomas to traverse both horizontally and vertically while delivering punches, kicks, and strategic attacks. Punches deal the most damage, while kicks provide longer reach, requiring players to balance timing and positioning. Each stage culminates in a boss battle, with five formidable bosses standing between Thomas and victory. Defeat all the bosses, and the game restarts with increased difficulty, challenging players to master its fast-paced combat and reflex-driven mechanics. Why Kung Fu NES Is a Classic Kung Fu delivers a quintessential 1980s arcade experience in the comfort of your home.
