KUMBA - Throw

Handcrafted KUMBA Throw from Senegal's 🇸🇳 Artisan Textile Workshop This throw is a unique work of artisan craftsmanship, hand-yarned and hand-woven in organic Senegalese cotton with plant-based dyes, that honors traditional savoir-faire.  The KUMBA collection celebrates the beauty of simplicity through a subtly textured fabric that brings quiet elegance to any interior. The natural off-white palette and hand-woven texture create a versatile foundation piece - equally at home in modern minimalist spaces, layered bohemian settings, or classic traditional rooms. Understated yet refined, KUMBA textiles add warmth and authenticity without competing for attention. As each throw cover is individually handcrafted, subtle variations in texture and tone make your piece beautifully unique. Generations of Senegalese Craftsmanship Nestled in the outskirts of Dakar, the Rabalma artisan cooperative has preserved the art of traditional hand-weaving for generations. Working directly with organic cotton farmers and hand-spinners from Tambacounda in central Senegal, this GOTS-certified workshop transforms locally-grown rain-fed cotton into exceptional textiles entirely by hand. From fiber to finished fabric, every step honors ancestral techniques and environmental stewardship—no irrigation, no chemicals, only permaculture practices and the skilled hands of Senegalese artisans.
