Kuat Piston ION E-Bike Platform Rack

Kuat Piston ION Platform Rack The Kuat Piston ION E-Bike Platform Rack from Nomadic Supply Company® is perfect for e-bike owners who love to explore the backcountry. With a 100 lbs per tray capacity*, our Kuat Piston ION E-Bike Platform Rack can carry up to two e-bikes on a 2” hitch, all with zero frame contact. Loading your bike onto our Kuat Piston ION E-Bike Platform Rack is effortless with the included aluminum ramp and the FastFit™ wheel chock system quickly and adjusts to different tire sizes. Plus, for those adventuring beyond the pavement, the Kuat Piston ION E-Bike Platform Rack is RV-compatible (2” hitch & chassis-mounted) and off-road approved*, making it the ideal choice for those who push the limits. With a fender-compatible design, support for wheel sizes from 18” to 29”, and the ability to handle tires up to 4.8” wide, the Kuat Piston ION E-Bike Platform Rack is ready for any ride, any road, any adventure—all backed by our No Worries Limited Warranty. Kuat Piston ION E-Bike Platform Rack Features: *Weight capacity lowers to 80 lbs. per tray for RVs and to 50 lbs. per tray for off-road use. *Light kit sold separately. The Kuat Piston ION E-Bike Platform Rack ditches the actual Pistons in favor of ratcheting tire arms similar to many tray-style racks like 1Up USA bike trays. For e-bike users, the weight limit of the Kuat Piston ION E-Bike Platform Rack is substantially increased, with a full 100 pounds per tray rating for normal driving. When used on an RV, that weight limit drops to 80 pounds per tray, which is still more than the 67 pouinds per tray maximum for the Piston Pro X in normal driving conditions. The Kuat Piston ION E-Bike Platform Rack is also rated for off-road use, though the weight limit then drops to 50 pounds per tray. Getting those heavy bikes on the rack should be a breeze with the included aluminum ramp, which can be placed on the rack after you fold the upright completely down. To open the upright, there is a simple lever that you hold down to lift the arm. Then you can ratchet it tight against the tires without using the lever. Integrated wheel chocks should make for more stable bike carrying. Kuat Piston ION has the FastFit tool-free system that adjusts to different wheel sizes, and Kuat says the Kuat Piston ION will fit 18-29″ bikes and tires up to 4.8″ wide out of the box (along with fenders, though it’s not clear if all fenders will be compatible). You’ll also find the signature PedalPivot which you can use with your hand or foot to raise the rack up or down. A stainless steel barrel hitch lock and semi-integrated 12mm lock cable are included for security, and it’s all backed by one of the best warranties and customer service in the industry. 350 lbs load capacity A pressed ball bearing pivot creates a smooth, open-ended experience 90 and 120-degree swing-away capabilities  Forged latch design for exceptional rigidity Passenger side swing away Included Locking Hitch Pin Patented Flatlock™ Hitch Cam Steel Construction Sandy Black Powder Coat Built to accept our Accessory Hoop with Molle and Spare Tire Wheel Adapter (Coming Soon!)
