KT Atom Tail Wing

A fantastic upgrade - looser for snap turns and higher speeds The Atom Surf Tail is Kane’s favorite maneuverability focused stabilizer, built to bring surfstyle control, confidence, and responsiveness to any foil setup. It’s designed for riders who prioritize turning, feel, and adaptability over maximum glide or top end speed. Compared to higher aspect tails like the Pulse, the Atom Surf delivers a more reactive, playful ride while still maintaining strong pitch stability. Its carbon construction lets riders size down the tail without losing lift, reducing drag while keeping control smooth and predictable. The Atom Surf Tail works seamlessly across the entire KT foil range, and with proper shimming and spacing, it can be tuned to pair with other foil systems as well. Riders can dial in lift, balance, and feel based on stance, fuselage length, and front wing choice, making it a versatile, surf-oriented tail that adapts to any setup. Sizes: Available in 121, 141, 161, 181 square cm Atom Surf feels loose, intuitive, and instantly reactive. It snaps into tighter turns, delivers a lively, surf driven character, and gives you that connected, confidence inspiring feel underfoot without sacrificing stability. Pitch response stays smooth and predictable, letting you push harder through carves, landings, and surface touches with no surprises just clean, controlled feedback every time you load it. 141 cm². A balanced, do everything dail-driver size that feels smooth, lively, and composed. It keeps the surf forward character of the Atom but adds extra stability for choppier water, winging, or slightly heavier riders. When you want maneuverability without giving up control, this is the size that stays predictable, responsive, and confidence inspiring in all conditions. Best paired with midrange front wings across most families, delivering a clean blend of looseness, stability, and all conditions versatility. Common front wing matches: • Halo – 550 to 800, both cruise and surf setups • Solus – 650 to 1110 cruise, depending on rider weight and conditions • Atlas – 570 to 960 surf and cruise • Nomad -700 and 830 surf and cruise • Instinct – ideal progression and advanced pairing once riders step down from the learning tail 161 cm². The stability oriented option in the Atom family, the 161 feels calm, planted, and composed. It smooths out speed changes, chop, and transitions with extra pitch damping while still keeping that signature surf connected Atom feel. This is the size you reach for when you want control and confidence at higher speeds or in mixed, messy water without losing the intuitive responsiveness that makes the Atom so fun to ride. Best paired with mid to larger size front wings, or any setup ridden fast in variable conditions where stability becomes a performance advantage.
