Kryptonite Evolution U-Lock (4 in x 9 in)

Solid Urban Security in a Portable Frame The Kryptonite Evolution Standard U-Lock strikes the balance between portability and security that works for commuters, students, and daily riders in moderate-risk settings. A 14-millimeter hardened MAX-Performance steel shackle resists bolt cutters and leverage attacks, while a newer smaller crossbar design reduces weight without compromising strength. The double deadbolt locking mechanism and high-security disc-style cylinder defend against twist and drilling attacks, and the included FlexFrame-U bracket lets you carry the lock mounted to your frame in multiple positions for quick access without bulge or imbalance. At 3.5 pounds and 4" x 9" interior, this lock fits most bike racks and can secure a frame and wheel without a cable extension. The protective vinyl coating keeps your frame finish safe, and the lock comes with three stainless steel keys (one with an LED light for keyway visibility in the dark). Eligible for $3,000 in anti-theft protection when registered, this is a proven platform that has remained in Kryptonite's lineup for years—a workhorse lock for people who want straightforward security without the heft of a larger frame or the complexity of managing multiple pieces. Proven Performance, Time-Tested Design Fourteen-millimeter hardened MAX-Performance steel shackle resists bolt cutters and leverage attacks.
