Kraken Swim Paddle

As it is told, the Kraken Swim Paddle is imported from the depths of the Caribbean, and is named for the sea beast of myth and legend.  The Kraken Paddle is strong, rich, multi-colored, and designed to make you swim smooth and fast. Our Kraken Power Swim Paddles are great for swim training.  They are contoured to the shape of your hand, and will help you develop proper stroke mechanics and strengthen your upperbody. Training paddles are lightweight swim training tools. When strapped to the palms (with included cords) of each hand, they help to improve stroke technique and arm strength by evenly distributing water pressure. When used properly, Kraken swim paddles are ideal training and workout aids for swimmers at every level. Here are some ways they can help: Technique Improvement: Propulsion and speed are essential on race day, and can be elevated with the help of XTERRA's training equipment. Using Kraken swim paddles will allow you to focus more heavily on your stroke and properly enhance your feel for the water. Medium and Large paddles are typically best for focusing on wrist and elbow placement, and they provide a great increase in resistance. Small paddles are generally for speed work, or beginners. Strength Building: Kraken swim training paddles add surface area to your hands. In doing so, they place increased resistance on your muscles as they work to catch and pull the water. By adding a variety of swim paddle-assisted drills to your workout, you can increase arm and upper body strength.  Most swimmers have two sized paddles to mix it up with training. Variety: Incorporating swim equipment into a workout not only helps to create results, but also adds the variety necessary for consistent motivation, and so you don't get bored looking at the black line down the center of your lane. Changing up a routine through the use of XTERRA WETSUITS' hand paddles during drills, pulling sets, and sprint-assisted swimming is a great way to keep trainings  exciting and fresh.  Join a Masters Swimming class (check out www.usms.org) to receive great tips and/or proper instruction for using your awesome paddles. Kraken, the paddle, the legend. How do I use KRAKEN swim training paddles? Swim training paddles, also known as swim paddles or hand paddles, are tools that are worn on the hands to help swimmers improve their technique and build upper body strength. To use swim training paddles, follow these steps: Put on the paddles by placing your hand through the strap and securing it around your fingers or wrist. Adjust the strap so the paddles fit snugly on your hands but do not restrict your movement. Once the paddles are on, enter the water and start swimming using your regular stroke. As you swim, focus on using your arms and hands to generate power and propulsion. Use a full range of motion and a strong, steady stroke to push the water backwards and move yourself forward. Remember to breathe regularly and maintain good body alignment. Swim training paddles can be used for a variety of swim strokes, including the freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. When using the paddles, it's important to focus on proper technique and avoid using too much force, as this can lead to overexertion and injury. Start with short intervals and gradually increase your endurance as you become more comfortable with the paddles.
