Krabat Runner

The Runner Special Needs Kick Bike By Krabat Adaptive innovation experts, Krabat conceptualized and created this first-of-its-kind kick bike and walking bike hybrid out of their passion for dissolving the borders that exist between special needs children and their more able-bodied counterparts. The idea was to give special needs kids aged 4-8 the opportunity to experience a playground accessory that other children have been enjoying for (literally) more than a century. This zippy hybrid can keep up with the rest of the scooters at the park, whilst providing the stability and balance that your kiddo requires to stay on track and have fun doing it. The Runner by Krabat comes standard with a detachable seat, making the bike adaptable as your child progresses and develops their sense of balance and speed, or simply as per preference. Something that sets the Krabat Runner apart is the fact that, whether used with or without the walking-bike seat module, the Runner doesn’t come across like a piece ‘special needs’ equipment…it’s a chance for your loved one to truly feel like ‘just one of the kids.’ The runner’s dual front wheels and cross bar provide all the stability needed and a place for feet to rest when the bike is being used with the seating module. The anterior placement of the dual wheels gives the appearance of a new and comfortable innovation, rather than a piece of adaptive mobility gear, perfect! What’s more, both the seat and the steering bar are height adjustable, accommodating growing bodies and children of various heights or needs. For peace of mind, a removable push bar at the rear allows carer control for kiddies who may need a little extra help staying on the path once they get going. Finally, the Runner weighs only 6 kg (without the seat) and the steering bar folds in, making it a breeze to pack up and transport or to carry when you and the family reach your indoor destination.
