Constructed from white plastic as specified by KUPA—it’s important to use the correct material to maintain fit, fit tolerances, and performance. Installation Tips Confirm your handpiece is indeed Version 101 or uses the same nut part #520K38. Using an incorrect nut may lead to improper fit or performance issues. Measure your existing nut (if present) to match the spec: OD ~18.63 mm, length ~13.39 mm. Ensure the internal housing, threads and mating components where the nut installs are clean, undamaged and free of debris. Disconnect the handpiece from power and let it fully stop before disassembly. Carefully remove the front or internal housing to access the nut location. Remove the old nut, clean the threads and seating surfaces of any debris, metal shavings or lubricant residue. Install the new #520K38 nut and torque it to the manufacturer’s recommended specification (if available). Avoid overtightening which could damage plastic threads or distort the nut. Re-assemble the handpiece, run it unloaded (no bit) for a short test to confirm smooth operation, absence of vibration or looseness, then resume normal use.
