Kona Side Table - Dark Stained

The Ferm Living Kona Side Table is one of those pieces that solves the eternal problem of "where do I put my coffee cup" without taking over your entire living room. The proportions are just right - big enough to actually be useful but compact enough that it doesn't dominate smaller spaces. What's smart about the design is how it works equally well as a bedside table or next to your favorite reading chair, and the clean lines mean it plays nicely with both modern and more traditional furniture. The height is perfect for most sofas and chairs, so you're not constantly reaching up or down to grab your drink or book. The construction feels solid without being bulky - you can move it around easily when you're rearranging furniture or cleaning, but it's substantial enough that it doesn't wobble when you set something down. The surface is the right size for a table lamp, some books, and your usual collection of daily essentials without everything falling off the edges. What's practical is how it handles real life - you can put a hot mug directly on the surface without drama, and it's surprisingly easy to keep clean despite daily use. The finish is neutral enough to work with most color schemes but interesting enough that it doesn't disappear into the background. Ferm Living approaches side tables from Copenhagen with that Danish understanding that small furniture needs to work really hard to earn its place in your home. They've figured out how to make pieces that feel substantial and well-made without being overly precious or formal. Their whole philosophy focuses on creating furniture that enhances daily life rather than requiring you to change how you live to accommodate beautiful objects.
