Knitting Outside the Box - Hardback

Grab your knitting needles and take a peek into the mind of one of the knitting world’s most innovative designers with Knitting Outside the Box by Bristol Ivy. You’ll know Bristol’s classic tailoring and innovative techniques from her patterns and Pom Pom Press is thrilled to bring you her first book. Originating from her workshop of the same name that she has been teaching and developing for four years, this exceeds the standard of the traditional pattern book. Part pattern book and part insight into the design process, Knitting Outside the Box guides the reader (and knitter) through the creative approaches  Bristol uses as a designer to explore and push the endless possibilities of knitting. The book includes a comprehensive stitch dictionary which provides technical information on how to shape and manipulate fabric, and concludes by bringing all the methods together to help the reader evolve an idea into a finished pattern. Knitting Outside the Box features 15 garment and accessory patterns using yarns from a variety of yarn producers Baa Ram Ewe // Blacker Yarns // The Fibre Co. // Indigodragonfly // Julie Asselin // Madelinetosh // Magpie Fibres // Miss Babs // Mrs. Crosby // Quince & Co. // Shibui Knits // Sincere Sheep // Spincycle // Sweet Fiber Yarns // The Uncommon Thread// Woolfolk // YOTH printed in the UK // 200 pages // hardback Includes digital download
