In a cold place like Minnesota it is essential to have a pair of mittens that fits! This class will prepare you to knit mittens in any size and in a variety of yarn thicknesses. Following the popular pattern "Worlds Simplest Mittens" by Tincanknits, we will learn all the techniques required to accomplish a mitten that fits well with no compromises for comfort. We will learn to read a simple pattern, knit in the round with your choice of magic loop method or double pointed needles, shaping techniques to increase and decrease stitches, how to set stitches on hold for the thumb, and all sorts of other tips and tricks so you will be confident about mittens! Note: This is not a beginner class! Please come equipped with knowledge of knit and purl. Materials must be purchased/brought from home in advance of class time!
