KMFDM "Let Go" 2xLP

Limited Edition   KMFDM is doin' it again, celebrating 40 years of conceptual continuity! LET GO marks the group's 23rd studio album, with the core lineup of Sascha Käpt'n K Konietzko, Lucia Cifarelli, Andy Selway, & Andee Blacksugar presenting an onslaught of pulse-pounding rhythms, scorching electronics, blistering guitars, & vocals full of grit, growl, & grind addressing the social, political, & cultural ills of a world in perpetual turmoil. As stylistically diverse as ever, KMFDM bridges the gaps between genres, coalescing into what we know & love as the Ultra Heavy Beat! Never let them know your next move, says the Käpt'n, laying down the band's primary philosophy on this record, commanding you to let go of precept & pretense, hold on tight, leave your worries behind, & get ready to rock! From the driving techno, dance, & funk infused thrust of LET GO to the airily melodic, swirling vibes of AIRHEAD & TOUCH, the grooving revolutionary oratory & percolating spaghetti western guitar & glitch-laden synth leads of TURN THE LIGHT ON, Lucia's sneering, seething riot grrl fury on WHEN THE BELL TOLLS, the sinister hip-hop injected NEXT MOVE, the downright cinematic Teutonic electro of ERLKÖNIG, to the virulent dub warcry of WW 2023 - KMFDM continues to break barriers down & immerse audiences in a bold new reality. Konietzko & Cifarelli prove as vicious a team as ever, equally sharing vocal & lyrical duties, with longtime associate MC Ocelot giving NEXT MOVE an extra touch of raucous rap energy. All the while, Blacksugar's guitar prowess continues to awe & astound, backed by Selway's dynamic drumming, meshed with Konietzko's masterful programming. Mixed & mastered by Benjamin Lawrenz, LET GO signals four decades of KMFDM loudly & proudly. Aidan BRUTE Hughes' distinctive cover artwork mirroring the album's breakneck power. After 40 years, the Ultra Heavy Beat simply refuses to rest in pity & regret, raising a sharpened middle finger at a world in chaos.
