Underground Press Guide: Showing Where It's Happening in Print

T]he underground newspaper represents a successful attempt to communicate to the community -- on a candid, literate and groovy level -- what is happening in its environmental scene. It reveals what is very often ignored, overlooked and distorted by individual writers of the establishment press who fail in their attempts to cover the campus, town, city, metropolitan, national and international scene happenings as should a news media with authentic reportage. Not wildly uncommon in OCLC, but scarce in the trade.
