All studs start life as high strength steel alloy that is machined and then thread rolled for smooth, strong, and perfect threads. These studs are black oxide coated.  Included: (10) 5/8-18 Steel Studs 4" overall length, 2" shoulder length (10) Self Locking Jam Nut Dimensions for this part A=4" B=1-3/16" C=2" D=13/16" The steel axle drive stud is designed so the 11/16" diameter shoulder on the stud is used to center the wheel, rather than the lug nut used with smaller studs. This system dramatically increases shear strength and eliminates bent wheel studs. These studs require 5/8"-18 threaded holes in the axle flange. Drive studs are then secured in the flange with a jam nut. To shop other sizes or 5/8" wheel stud kits with lugnuts: Click Here
