Kiri Ra! "nen" LP

A trio of Lau Nau, saxophonist Linda Fredriksson, and pianist/composer Matti Bye. Improvised sessions developed slowly over a decade into an intimate collection of acoustic and electronic music. Piano, woodwinds, modular synthesis, and small percussion instruments create a detailed, spacious sound. For fans of: Lau Nau, Linda Fredriksson's Juniper, Laraaji, and Nala Sinephro. On nen, Kiri Ra! turns a long friendship into a gently evolving musical conversation. The trio works without fixed stylistic targets, allowing small gestures and unexpected textures to determine where a piece goes. Acoustic resonance and electronic processing meet in a sound that feels warm, tactile, and attentive to silence. The music invites close listening to minute changes: a breath through a wind instrument, a lingering keyboard tone, or a small percussion figure can shift the whole scene. Its open, exploratory character draws connections between the musicians' individual practices while giving their shared work a distinctive sense of ease and curiosity.
