King William IV Signed Cut PSA 8 Autograph

Title: King William IV Signed Document Cut – PSA/DNA Encapsulated Autograph | Slabbed Authentic Signature Description: This is an original autograph cut from a royal document boldly signed "William R." by King William IV of the United Kingdom. The ink signature, exhibiting the distinctive flourish typical of royal hands, is penned in dark brown ink on an approximately 2" x 6" trimmed segment of period-laid paper. On the reverse is a partial manuscript heading beginning with "William the Fourth by the Grace...", suggestive of a larger royal proclamation or appointment document. Dated faintly in manuscript as "Nov. 1, 1835", this piece has been professionally authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA, with certification number 86025819. The signature remains crisp and legible, beautifully centered within the PSA slab, which measures approximately 10.25" x 4.25". Historical Context: William IV (1765–1837) served as King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and King of Hanover from 1830 until his death in 1837. Known as the "Sailor King" for his decades of naval service, William ascended the throne late in life after the death of his brother, King George IV. His reign was marked by key reforms, including the passage of the Reform Act of 1832, which restructured the British electoral system and laid groundwork for modern democracy. He was also the last king and penultimate monarch of the House of Hanover. Items bearing his original signature are increasingly scarce, particularly those tied to his formal duties as sovereign, as suggested by the preserved royal header on the reverse of this cut.
