This hand-woven, one-of-a-kind piece embodies Anatolian heritage through its flatwoven construction and faded patina. Featuring abrash detail and an overdyed finish, this low-pile, no-shed, high-traffic durable, layering-friendly, underfloor-heating safe, reversible weave, soft-touch, distressed character, ghost-pattern, 70s craftsmanship, cotton-polyester blend, single-piece artisanal, sun-bleached tones rug offers a distinctive vintage aesthetic. About This Style Vintage rugs are designed to evoke an antique aesthetic, often featuring faded tones, abrash-like colour variation, and worn-look surface treatments that reference the mid-20th-century Anatolian hand-weaving tradition. Distressed rugs undergo specific treatments to mimic age, such as selectively faded zones or areas where the pile is removed to reveal the base structure. This process is frequently achieved through overdyeing, where a rug is submerged in a saturated colour bath, leaving ghost traces of the original patterns visible beneath the new wash. Where It Works The flatweave construction allows this rug to lie flat against the floor, making it suitable for high-traffic areas such as hallways, entryways, and kitchens. Its profile is ideal for layering over larger carpets, and it is fully compatible with underfloor heating systems. Why Choose This Rug? — Deep red tones with a distressed ghost-pattern finish that highlights the original 70s craftsmanship. — Constructed from a cotton and polyester blend, offering both the breathability of cotton and the long-term durability and moisture resistance of polyester. — Flatwoven construction ensures a no-pile, no-shed surface that remains stable in high-traffic areas. — These rugs reference the Anatolian hand-weaving tradition; each piece is one-of-a-kind, with minor variations in colour and pattern that are characteristic of vintage-style production. — Versatile design capable of being used in demanding areas of the home or layered with other textiles for added depth.
