KidSole Adjustable Toe Walking Wedge

"Toe walking is a very unstable way for the human body to move through space. Therefore, in order to gain stability, children who toe walk may continue that pattern due to the additional recruitment, or “stiffness”, of the muscles that it provides. Providing heel contact, by using the wedges with the KidSole insert, improves stability by enabling the foot to have full contact on a surface. With better stability the need for Toe Walking is less. The KidSole Toe Walking orthotic is intended for mild Toe Walking, with minimal range of motion restrictions, and very little to no sensory involvement."    -Liesa M, Ritchie, PT, DPT, PCS https://www.knowtochange.com For more information including courses for practicing clinicians, please visit Liesa's website above.  KidSole Toe Walking Wedge: A Comprehensive Solution for Your Child’s Toe Walking Needs At KidSole, we understand that every step in your child's development is crucial. That's why we've designed our Toe Walking Wedge to provide a supportive, effective solution to help address and correct toe walking. Our product is meticulously crafted to ensure comfort, ease of use, and gradual correction, making it a preferred choice for both parents and clinicians. The overall goal of this product is to gradually bring your child's heel to the ground to mitigate toe walking. This product introduces a gradual solution and should also provide positive sensory feedback for your child.  Key Features: Adjustable Design: The KidSole Toe Walking Wedge features four stackable layers that come pre-attached. This thoughtful design allows you to place the fully stacked wedge in your child's shoe and easily remove one layer every two weeks or as directed by your clinician. This adjustability ensures a tailored fit and gradual correction process. Gradual Correction: Our wedge is designed to promote a natural transition from toe walking to a proper heel-to-toe gait. By removing layers over time, your child's heels are encouraged to make contact with the ground, helping to develop better walking habits and improve overall posture. For Clinicians: KidSole's toe walking wedge is designed to treat mild toe walking -- our wedge will address the final 7 degrees heel lift.  Comfort Layer: Understanding that comfort is key, the bottom layer of the wedge can remain in the shoe if needed. This layer provides additional cushioning, which is particularly beneficial if your child experiences heel pain. However, its use is optional and should be based on your child’s comfort level. Clinician-Approved: Developed in collaboration with pediatricians and podiatrists, the KidSole Toe Walking Wedge is designed to be used under the guidance of a healthcare provider. This ensures that your child receives the most effective and safe correction for toe walking. How It Works: Initial Setup: Insert the fully stacked wedge into your child's shoe. This initial configuration provides the maximum elevation needed to begin correcting toe walking. Layer Removal: Every two weeks, or as advised by your clinician, remove one layer from the wedge. This gradual reduction helps your child’s feet adjust slowly and naturally to a proper walking pattern. Final Stage: Once all layers have been removed, the bottom layer can remain in the shoe for added comfort if necessary. This stage aims to have your child's heels comfortably reaching the ground, promoting a healthy heel-to-toe gait. Why Choose KidSole: Supportive and Comfortable: Our wedges are made from high-quality, breathable materials that ensure your child's comfort throughout the day. Easy to Use: The pre-attached layers make the wedge simple to adjust, ensuring a hassle-free experience for both parents and children.
