Biomorphic Planter

Super unique and stunning biomorphic planter by Willy Guhl for Eternit AG. Amazing low freeform kidney like shape makes a great planter for low sculptural arrangements. The vessel's asymmetric profile curves and pinches along one edge, giving the piece real movement and a distinctly organic, hand-formed presence from every angle. The interior is fitted with a grid of drilled drainage holes, consistent with Guhl's functional approach to outdoor planter design. Decades of exterior life have given the surface a rich, chalky patina — mottled gray and white tones with soft traces of moss and lichen. One of the more rare shapes relative to Guhl's more commonly seen designs, great for collectors of Swiss mid-century design, garden sculpture, and organic modernism alike.
