Kevin Beasley

Experience sound, sculpture, and style like never before with Kevin Beasley. Step into the powerful creative world of groundbreaking contemporary artist Kevin Beasley. This stunning monograph is the first book to fully explore Beasley’s dynamic and thought-provoking work, released alongside the largest museum exhibition of his career. Known for transforming everyday materials into immersive works of art, Beasley blends sound, sculpture, and fashion to create pieces that are as visually striking as they are sonically alive. From sculptures made with sneakers, foam, and resin to installations built from shredded T-shirts, hoodies, fitted caps, and du-rags, his work captures movement, culture, and memory in unexpected ways. Beasley even pushes the boundaries of performance by embedding microphones and electronic equipment directly into his sculptures, turning objects into instruments that capture and manipulate sound. The result is an experience that blurs the line between art installation, performance, and music. Featuring captivating images and insights into Beasley’s creative process, Kevin Beasley offers readers a deep dive into the artist’s bold exploration of sound, identity, and material culture. Innovative, immersive, and visually unforgettable, Kevin Beasley is a must-have for contemporary art lovers, collectors, and anyone curious about how art can transform the everyday into something extraordinary.
