Ans: Keto Check 50gm is used to find ketone bodies in milk, urine, or plasma from dairy cows. This test helps spot ketosis, a common metabolic problem in high-producing cows after they give birth. Q2: How does Keto Check detect ketosis in cows? Ans: Keto Check powder reacts with ketone bodies in the sample. If you add milk, urine, or plasma and the powder turns purple, it means ketones are present and the test is positive. Q3: How quickly does Keto Check provide results? Ans: Keto Check usually gives results in about two minutes after adding the sample. This quick color change helps farmers and vets find out fast if ketones are present. Q4: What types of samples can be used with Keto Check? Ans: You can use Keto Check with milk, urine, or plasma from dairy cows. This makes it easy for vets and farmers to test using whichever sample is easiest to get. Q5: Why is early detection of ketosis important in dairy cows? Ans: Catching ketosis early helps avoid production losses and health problems. Since ketosis can lower appetite, body condition, and milk output, spotting it early lets you act quickly with nutrition or vet care. Q6: Can Keto Check be used immediately after calving? Ans: It’s best not to test during the first 96 hours after calving. Colostrum made then can affect the test and cause wrong results. Q7: How much powder is required for a Keto Check test? Ans: You only need a small amount of powder, about 1 to 2 grams, for each test. This reacts with the sample and changes color if ketones are present. Q8: What should be done if Keto Check shows a positive result? Ans: If the powder turns purple after adding the sample, ketones are present. Farmers or caretakers should consult a vet to confirm ketosis and determine the appropriate diet or treatment for the cow.
