Bring powerful illumination, natural shimmer, exceptional color blending, and broad coverage to your reef aquarium with the Kessil AP9X LED Light. The AP9X combines two densely packed LED arrays with redesigned optics to distribute usable light evenly across aquariums up to 48 inches long. Its wide spread helps reduce harsh hotspots and shadowing while producing the signature Kessil shimmer reef keepers love. With built-in WiFi and the Kessil WiFi app, you can customize spectrum, intensity, daily schedules, acclimation periods, and lunar lighting directly from a compatible mobile device. The AP9X provides the power and spectrum needed to support soft corals, LPS, SPS, and mixed reef aquariums. RECOMMENDED COVERAGE • Mixed reef aquariums: Up to approximately 48 × 24 inches • SPS-dominant aquariums: Up to approximately 36 × 24 inches • Maximum recommended penetration: Approximately 30 inches • Actual coverage depends on mounting height, aquarium depth, aquascape, coral placement, and desired PAR KEY FEATURES • Powerful 180-watt reef aquarium LED light • Two densely packed LED arrays with 110 total LED chips • Up to 48 inches of aquarium coverage • Advanced optics provide broad and even light distribution • Excellent spectrum and penetration for coral growth • Signature Kessil shimmer • Exceptional color mixing without a visible disco-ball effect • Built-in WiFi connectivity • Mobile app programming and control • Adjustable color spectrum and intensity • Smooth dimming down to 0.1% • Programmable sunrise and sunset transitions • Lunar cycle and moonlight programming • Acclimation mode helps corals adjust to new lighting • Active cooling system supports reliable performance • K-Link and 0–10V control connections • Compatible with select additional Kessil fixtures and controllers BUILT-IN WIFI CONTROL Connect the AP9X directly to the Kessil WiFi app to create and manage a customized lighting schedule. KESSIL LOGIC Kessil Logic helps maintain a coral-appropriate spectrum while allowing you to adjust the aquarium’s appearance. This makes it easier to fine-tune color and intensity without unintentionally creating an unsuitable spectrum for photosynthetic corals. ADVANCED OPTICS The AP9X’s optics spread light across a broad area instead of concentrating excessive intensity directly below the fixture. This creates more uniform coverage, helps reduce hotspots, and improves illumination around coral colonies and aquascape structures.
