Kerusso Mens Cap Ichthus

Ichthus™ Share your reason for living in this streamlined “Ichthus” Cap by Kerusso® in Tan/Black. This symbol harkens back to Christians in the first centuries who wanted to meet in safety, and needed to find creative ways to gather in peace. “Ichthus” is the Greek word for fish, and this straightforward design carries within it the acronym for “Jesus Christ, God’s Son, Savior.” An ancient Christian symbol, this image was used during times of persecution by the Romans. The ichthus was used among Christians in hiding to display meeting places for everyone to meet and worship, and could be spotted on trees, doorways, or even tombs. The ichthus fish continues to hold deep meaning for Christians today as a reference to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and a metaphor for God’s call on our hearts to be ‘fishers of men,’ sharing the Good News with others that they too may experience a personal relationship with Him.
